. . . well, not quite. Today’s forecast – 82° degrees. The Christmas season looks decidedly different in Florida compared to our neighbors to the north.
While decorating our Christmas tree, I had to lower the a/c in our house. There’s something that just feels so wrong about sweating while unpacking ornaments.
Luckily, my kids seemed to have a great time regardless of the lack of softly falling snow out the window.
To top off our night, my husband stealthy decorated the girls’ triple bunk beds while I kept them busy digging into the ornament box.
We transformed this:
When the girls were ready for bed, I waited in their room poised with my camera while Howard led them in. This way I captured this priceless moment:
“The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads…”
I think it’s the makings of a new Christmas tradition.
What about you? Do you have any unique traditions that you hope to continue?
I love, love, love the decorated bunk beds!! And the first Christmas Tree in your new home – gorgeous!!
See me? I am on the map at less than ZERO! Argh it is SO cold here. Wanna trade? LOL!
No thanks!! LOL! No trading for me. Sure, I may complain about the heat on occasion- but we can always jump in the pool to cool off. Cold weather has a way of seeping into my bones. I’ll stay where I am. But do let us know when you’re in the area for a visit. 🙂 Pool’s always open!
