My husband and I are thrilled that our daughters seem so keen on the idea of a more “country-fied” lifestyle. Just the other day Mira informed me that she “really, really misses living in a house with a lot of land.” I told her we’ve never actually lived in a house with a lot of land. She paused, thought it over and then responded, “well- I guess that just means we really, really should be living in house with a lot of land.”
And I can’t help but think she’s right.
The time we’ve been spending at our friends’ country home has filled my girls (and me) with a deeper appreciation for nature. Not that we didn’t appreciate it before, but out there we all seem to be in tune with nature- more a part of it ourselves.
Everything feels a bit more natural.
The girls play harder,
. . . laugh louder,
. . . get dirtier,
. . .and have never seemed happier.
UPDATE: April 2013- WE MOVED!

I love it. I would trade a lot to have outdoor space. Someday…
It will be. Wonderful. xo
My family and I can’t wait to move out to the country. I grew up in the country with farms all around us. I miss it so much! Someday we will be back out there !
Love the pics!
